Regulatory Standards for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)

About

The Biden-Harris Administration and EPA are proposing the first-ever national drinking water standards for 6 per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS); a group of manmade "forever chemicals" found in water, air, soil, fish, and the bloodstreams of over 97% of Americans. PFAS are manufactured and used in many products for their water-repellant features. They are currently unregulated and pervade our environment at every level. Public health effects include endocrine disruption, behavioral and developmental problems, and cancer.
