New Orleans Lead Study Report Release

  • Tulane River and Coastal Center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Join us to talk about lead and copper contamination in New Orleans drinking water.

This summer, the Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans collected water samples and analyzed data from nearly 150 homes across all five districts of Orleans Parish.

Join us in-person for the release of our comprehensive report to learn what we found and where we go from here.

This event will feature expert speakers discussing the implications of the study and the urgent need for action to safeguard public health. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn how our government can protect us from future lead contamination.

Free parking will be available in an adjacent lot and light refreshments will be served. We have limited room for attendance, so be sure to RSVP now to secure your spot!

If your party includes more than one person, please fill out a reservation for each individual attendee.

Lunch & Learn: Free Mapping Tool and Informational Session

  • Tulane River and Coastal Center (TRCC) (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Join the Trust for Public Land, the City of New Orleans, and the Water Collaborative to explore new resources to help residents and community-based nonprofits plan, advocate for, and implement green infrastructure. Presenters will demo the Climate Smart Cities New Orleans decision support tool and will share insights from a new report that documents the economic benefits of green infrastructure. Attendees will hear directly from the City of New Orleans on how they use the tool as well as updates on their green infrastructure projects.

About the decision support tool: This free resource was created to help governments and community groups advance parks, green infrastructure, and urban greening. We will provide a training session that will teach you how to apply the full capabilities of the tool for work on individual properties or at the neighborhood or city scale.
