Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)

About

Through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), Congress allocated $1.1 billion to assist low-income households with their water and wastewater services bills. The temporary program granted one-time funding to states to administer funds to low-income households that had their water shut off, were at risk of having their water shut off, or were behind in their water bills.
