New Orleans Water Week is a vibrant, week-long celebration that honors the vital role water plays in shaping the culture and future of New Orleans and its surrounding coastal communities.

Produced by The Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans and hosted at the Andrew Cailloux Center and the Ruby Slipper, this annual event brings together neighbors, artists, educators, policy leaders, and changemakers to spark dialogue and drive action toward equitable, sustainable water solutions.

Through an exciting blend of education, art, storytelling, and policy, NOLA Water Week bridges the gap between complex environmental issues and everyday experiences, highlighting how water connects, nourishes, and challenges us all.

More than a series of events, NOLA Water Week is a movement—born from the Water Collaborative’s mission to advance community-driven policy and affirm water as a fundamental human right. It serves as a platform for collective wisdom, bold innovation, and shared celebration, empowering communities across the region to imagine and build a more just and water-secure future for generations to come.
